Waikiki Beach
Why isn't Waikiki Beach in the Beach Parks section?
Waikiki Beach is the tourist area; the place where many of the
hotels for tourists
exist. Other touristy places as restaurants, lounges, and souvenir
shops. A view
of the beach and hotels from a pier.

The pier across the street from my hotel. It was a popular spot
for tourists
to go and just observe.

Walking along the beach a couple sights on the water.

Walking along the street next to the beach a few sights.

Makua and Kila - based on a children's story honoring Hawaiian
values of
love and respect for family and ocean.

Olympic champion Duke Paoa Kahanamoku - won 3 gold medals between
1912 and 1932.

Sun at Waikiki late in the afternoon.

Sights in a park near the beach. A banyan tree is behind the
surfer sculpture.

Banyan trees, limbs send shoots down that eventually become
roots.

Someone taking a break below a banyan tree.

Away from the beach.

Victoria Kamekiu J Lunalilo Kalaninuiahilapalapa Ka'iulani Cleghorn
(1875-1899)
Princess Ka'iulani was the only child born to last reining dynasty
of the
Hawaiian Kingdom.

Early one morning a rainbow was seen, quite weak, but a rainbow.

The weak rainbow wouldn't have been included, if the double
rainbow wasn't
seen a few minutes later.
