Founded in 1830 and known as the birthplace of the
Birmingham Iron Industry, it became a major supplier
of iron for cannons and naval plate to the Confederacy.

John Wesley Hall Grist Mill and Cotton Gin Waterwheel
This mill and gin operated from 1867 to 1931.
