The United States Department of the Treasury had 55 full-sized replicas of the Liberty Bell made and presented to each state and territory. Maryland's Liberty Bell replica was not seen.

State House:
Maryland was the 7th state to ratify the U.S. Constitution in April 1788. This state house is the oldest in the nation still in legislative use and the only state house to have served as the Capitol of the United States (November 26, 1783 - August 13, 1784). On December 23, 1783 George Washington resigned his commission before the Continental Congress and on January 14, 1784 the Treaty of Paris which marked the end of the Revolutionary War was ratified here.
Roger Brooke Taney:
(March 17, 1777 - October 12, 1864)
Roger Taney was the 12th U.S. Attorney General and the 5th Chief Justice of the United States. While Chief Justice the Dred Scott decision was the most notable. This decision made slavery legal in all U.S. Territories.
Old Treasury Building :
The oldest building in Maryland was built between 1735 and 1737 and was the offices of the Commissioners for Emitting Bills of Credit. The State restored it in 1949 and currently houses the Research Center for Historic Annapolis Foundation.
Thurgood Marshall Memorial
Thurgood Marshall was born on July 2, 1908 and died January 24, 1993. He was a Baltimore native and civil rights lawyer who reached the pinnacle of the U.S. justice system. He was the first Marylander since Roger Taney and the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court.
Governor's Mansion
This mansion has been the official residence of the governor since 1870.
House Chamber
The House of Delegates consists of 141 delegates elected from 47 districts. The Senate Chamber was closed for renovations; it consists of 47 senators.
Maryland's Federalist
(A Flagship for Maryland / Original: 1788 Recreated: 1988)
The Maryland Federalist was built in 1988 for Maryland's commemoration of the bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution. She is a full-sized replica of the 15-foot ship. On May 1, 1788 Baltimore held a huge event to honor the ratification of the constitution and the tiny Federalist was the centerpiece of the event.
Old Senate Chamber
This historic chamber has been restored to its 1783 appearance. The mannequin of George Washington stands on the spot where he delivered his resignation speech on Dec 23, 1783. From November 26, 1783 to August 14, 1784 Annapolis was the capital of the United States. The Continental Congress met in this room.
A Prototype for the First U.S. Flag?
There were 13 stripes on this flag; some are hidden behind a display. The star arrangement has me confused.
