In the first few weeks standard jumps were used
in the hunter rings.

The last couple of weeks Hunter Ring 1 was given
a more natural appearance. Trees were added as well as
jumps made from rough sawn planks and logs.

The rider was required to walk up to this low jump
and have the horse ease over it. First time I've seen this
in an event.

Hunter events are judged on style. Horse sliding
on its hind legs prior to making an awkward jump is
not stlyish. Deduction time!

Halfway falling out of the saddle is not stylish either.
Plus, if memory serves me correctly, the horse did not jump.

Steps located near the entrance to rings assist
riders in mounting.
