On a trip to go up the Atchafalaya River I roamed about Louisiana south of I-10 and
west of New Orleans. The first stop
was Grand Isle. I've heard of it over the years so I decided to check it out. I
liked the entrance.
I saw a sign saying Grand Isle State Park. What I saw was just a small island
village.
In front of the community center is a set of rocks, shipped in to form this art
work.
Young man enjoying fishing on the beach.
In downtown Lafayette, the St. John's Cathedral stands above most if not all
buildings.
Next to it is a 500 year old live oak tree.
The trunk of the oak tree.
Another building that caught my eye was the U.S. Court House.
"Justice is blind", I've heard of before. This sculpture and its partner on the
other side of the
entrance is saying "It's brainless, also"(?)
Near the library I spotted this.
